Rooted in Hankamer, Texas, the 1900 story began when Euell Lester Moor first tilled the fertile soil in 1900 with a plow and 12 yoke of oxen. Euell started small – with just under 300 acres of rice, but those inaugural grains started a family legacy spanning four generations.

Today, what began as one man’s humble dream has become a sprawling 16,000-acre operation run by Euell’s great-grandson, Halley Ray Moor Jr. and wife Abby Renee Barrow.

The same land, cultivated through perseverance and grit, is now home to 1900 Feed’s state-of-the-art feed mill. Locally sourced ingredients grown directly by us, right here in our backyard, are a staple in the feeds that we produce.

Though the world has certainly changed since 1900, one thing remains constant – the Moor family’s commitment to the land and sustainable farming practices they first received from Euell. Under the leadership of Halley and Abby, sustainability and conservation steer our principles. If Euell were still walking the acres he first tilled back in those early days, he would be proud to find innovative soil and water conservation techniques still anchoring operations on the farm.
